Okay, it wasn't this guy...he's innocent even though he's dressed like a bandit. But sometimes overnight, one of the neighborhood 'coon pack stole the suet feeder hanging out front on the Squirrel Tree. Chain and all I thought something looked odd out there this morning...took me a few to realize what it was. I've had them try to raid it before, and I finally bought a clasp they couldn't undo because a few times they'd opened the feeder and stolen the entire suet block out of it. Two days ago, I noticed the chain pulled back over the branch it was on so I knew someone was trying to get into it again. But last night, someone undid the chain from the branch and ran off with the entire thing. So I just hung a new one up...with thicker chain...hopefully they won't steal this one.

News flash: they also stole a can of Krylon from the hardware store and spray-painted your house finch. It’s not all that surprising. I have a very thick plastic garbage can (provided by the city), and it has teeth marks in the flip lid! I didn’t know I ate food that good....

So...yesterday I wrote about the thievin' raccoons running off with one of my suet feeders...chain and all. This morning, guess what I saw out front...hanging...

No, they broke the chain because they couldn't get the clasp undone

Those brats need a logging chain, to keep the suet from being stolen! We had a coyote pass through our side-yard, last night!

May be the one in the photo is not the guilty one, but one of the raccoons surely is the thief.

I wonder how they managed that? You might need to set up a camera to catch them at it.

Hmm...the feeder hangs on an 8-foot chain...which is hanging out there this morning. Evidently the schneaky guy pulled it up into the branches and then knocked it back down last night
