This morning, in just a few minutes, I will be leaving to go to my Lions Club meeting where I will be this weeks presenter. I was asked, as I believe I may have mentioned before (please not clever prevarication) to do a program on self-publishing. I have a 20 to 30-minute program put together complete with PowerPoint slides and everything. My PowerPoint expert, aka the missus, has approved the slideshow. Wish me luck. If this goes well, I will be offering to give the presentation to other groups including book clubs and writing classes. I hope you are all having a wonderful day. I'm still collecting time zone data. So far we have 10 time zones represented. I'll check back in after my visit to the Lions' Den.

I'm still shooting for 1,000 words today. I banked over 6,000 words yesterday because I knew today would be iffy.

It is a luncheon club. They were all well fed before I started.

@DWDavis It is actually primarily a Civic organization..I do believe..but maybe some groups are more into meals than others..lol. My brother in law participates.

@snowy22315 This club is indeed a civic group that does lots of work with vision and hearing impaired of all ages. I've been a member for 23 years. I call it a luncheon club because we meet at lunchtime at a local restaurant and have our meetings following lunch.

The presentation went very well. The Q&A after was especially helpful. Now I know what questions I need to be better prepared for.

I was in no danger. I was asked to present to the Lions Club. They are a civic organization that does charitable work in the community and sponsors folks like me to come and talk about what we do.
