Keeping the Flashlight On Before Sleeping

I didn't know why I have to keep my little flashlight on before going to sleep; just keeping it on for a few minutes till I felt so sleepy.
Maybe it's because am afraid of the sudden darkness, or it could be due to some imaginations I had. A cousin just passed away and I thought he might be there standing in one corner of the room.
Do you also fear the dark at times?

@acelawrites there are many who feel that way though it's just on our mind.

@cacay1 yes, maybe just an imagination or others who can really sense such unknown things (spirits).

It happens; it's common in our culture to be so afraid of such unknown things.

You are brave enough. Later on, I can also sleep even when it's dark.

@acelawrites Yes, I like that, too. I would feel claustrophobic in complete darkness.

@MALUSE I somehow feel that way too, and because the room is closed. even the windows.

It's good, you have that faint light from the lamps outside.

Ha ha, mine is placing clothes or pillow or anything above my eyes so I can sleep.

Actually it should be in my eyes, anything above my eyes.

I do like having a light on. Although not too bright. When my husband is home, I can easily sleep with no lights on at all. I usually fall asleep before he does, and will leave the lights on and he turns them off. However, on the nights when he's at work (he works night shifts), I prefer leaving a light on.

I do that also when am alone; but when husband is here, he does not want it; he could not sleep with lights on.

@acelawrites If I hear a noise, I always move around the house without even turning on the lights.

It should be; but sometimes I could not stop thinking of so many imaginative things. But afterwards, I can be so brave again.

I like some faint light at night; or just outside our room.

Maybe because many of us are so superstitious.

no.. but I keep my lights on now when I sleep. LOL
it's not the dark that I am afraid of but the little flying bats that sometimes come inside my room that scare me...

You should have screen on your windows so bats could not enter. They're really scary.
