Purple flower

Yesterday the kids called me outside to come look at s bug they founds I go outside with my phone of course and they pointed to a purple flower with a beetle on it. Mommy, it’s a Chinese beetle. Um guys it’s just a beetle! Oh, there are many kids of beetles but a Chinese one usually refers to a Lady bug.
So I took a quick picture of our little bug friend and told the kids to be on there way with playing and leave the bug alone to do it’s thing.

That's a great photo of the bug on the flower. Pretty good detail. I hope the beetle got his fill of whatever it was he was after on that flower!

That is a Japanese beetle, not a good bug. He will eat the flowers and plants. I have them every year in my garden.
