Are all of my songs really sad?

Yep, I've been thinking of doing that one, or That's the Way That the World Goes 'Round. Or Please Don't Bury Me, now that I think about it.

@FourWalls I am right now as I just came back from the pool. With a cig in my mouth. I want to go back there because there's a pretty blue flower that made my reading at the pool more fun. Anyway, that IS a great line. You've inspired me to practice that song when I get back from taking the photo.

@TheHorse A couple of years ago, you uploaded a country song, which was very good. I wonder why you don't try singing that one.

@andriaperry John Prine is one of my idols. His raspy voice is a part of his "mystique."

I might try this one. Let me know if you like it. I also just wrote a funny song called "Yes I Want Your Autograph But Give My guitar Back to Me." Its about a bluegrass superstar who borrowed a friend's guitar (a friend of mine) while drunk and almost destroyed it.

Thank you, Jennifer. Sometimes is an "original," written to practice a new chord that I learned at a music retreat. I wrote it as it was raining on the redwoods above me in Santa Cruz. Souvenirs is a song by the great John Prine, one of the best American songwriters of the 20th Century.

@DaddyEvil Haha, yeah I discovered that with some punk songs. I go yeah they sure tried to bring the humor, but upon actually listening to them, you go, damn the world a messed up. place.

@crossbones27 *grinning at you* I think there are more than a few funny country songs, crossbones... Not that I can think of a song title right now... (You know I don't listen to a lot of music, right?) But I used to try to listen to country songs just because my dad or mom thought the songs were funny. I did discover that some songs my mom or dad told me were funny really weren't, at least in my own opinion...

Wow. That 1-6-4-5 thing was so big in the late 'fifties. Sometimes I wish I'd been a 'tween or a teen in those days. So many awkward kisses I missed by being born too late.

And why are you agreeing with me? Are you drunk? The reason for pathos in Pony's songs is ...Pony doesn't have a functional mirror in right place his house. You can bet on that. He doesn't see himself as serious faced person and force a smile out. One thing positive in that song...bed sheets are clean. :) I must have run a laundry in my previous life. And Pony is terrified of me commenting on his bed sheets. He spelt my name wrong. If I select a song out of Jim Reeves songs...it would be "snowflake", and pony would be drawn like a magnet to "An Old Christmas Card" .. he is mission impossible to repair.

@vandana7 Yes, I was drunk, vanny. How could you tell that? I did notice that pony no longer takes photos of his bed without the sheets being clean after both you and I mentioned his sheets the first time he showed us his bed! I wonder if we owned a laundry in a previous life? Maybe that explains why you live in India now??? I saw he misspelled your tag name... that's why I called you to this discussion.

@Hannihar I don't think Pony meant to use Archie and Edith as anything other than what the slide conveys ...happy moments dreams. I was planning to put a picture of cruise ship .. but Pony vetoed. See..I told you, he expects others to step into his convoluted brain and look for meanings. And he calls me banana slug...smh.

@vandana7 I remember that and I was wondering why Archie and Edith were in the picture. I wondered about it but did not ask what about his wife and his children. I did not say anything before and maybe it is none of my business is why I never asked before. I thought maybe this was sad because of the family aspect to it.
