Game Night

My friend down the hall came over for game night. We tried a new game she had, but it was impossible, even if it was for ages 5+. She agreed it wasn't a good game for us. So, she went to her apartment and came back with Sorry and a deck of cards.
We played two games of Sorry and each won. Then one game of War in which I won, a game of crazy 8, she won, and Go Fish, we tied. It was a good night of games.
Do you play board games or do you only play games on your phone or video game console?

I love games! Cards, dominos, scrabble. I keep thinking that I should learn to play chess. But I hate losing so much that I can't seem to get past that enough to learn the game

@just4him How did you learn? I have been playing against a computer and it doesn't teach me any strategy that I can tell

@divalounger My late X taught me in the early years of our marriage. He played all the time and liked working the chess puzzle in the newspaper too. I enjoy it, but it has been many years since I played and not since we were divorced.

i fear i've none to play any games with. tried with the pup 'n cat, but they'd not cooperate, lol. bummer yer pic'd not load. such plagued me fer some time 'n now jest seems intermittent?

@just4him aw, they're all so cute!! no worries, the horses'll not either, lol. dunno 'bout mr. squirrel?? he might jest be 'bout ready fer a friend. he's sure 'd a time this past week with the birds.

I love your rock paintings, does Aaron work for the fire department? I will play board games at times, but never on a computer or cell phone. Occasionally, I do open up solitaire and play a couple games, though. I always loved the game of LIFE, it was so much fun! I'm glad you had a nice time, playing games with your friend:)

We used to but dont now that the kids are grown. I do have a couple on the game systems. It is nice not having to keep track of all of the pieces.

@just4him Use them but the boxes start to wear out too. I had a plastic storage tote that I kept the baggies in when that happened.

I've been playing more board games lately since my son is starting to get into them. I have always liked Life and Monopoly. The card games are good, War is always fun! Sorry the picture wouldn't load, I have been having issues with that too

@just4him I do see it now, and I like the rocks....very nice work!!
And I am glad too, we'll probably start having Friday game nights as a family, and he can invites a friend or two when he's older. Life has always been a great one, and now they have an electronic banking one!

@DocAndersen That makes sense. I've watched my son play video games when he's playing with another player, online, not in the same room, and it gets challenging.

We do play card games and I especially like Uno. When it comes to board games it's usually Monopoly

I'm sorry you have no one to play games with. Of those you mentioned, I only know Monopoly. Are the others board games too?
