Chinese Take Out Anyone?

Today was a busy day. Mom had an appointment on the south side of Baton Rouge at 9 am and we barely made it. That is usually a two-hour drive in the morning drive time when workers are headed in to work. We made it in 1.5 hours.
We have another test scheduled in a week or maybe two. I'm not really sure right now.
My brother ended up calling while in the doctor's office and I just shut the phone off. I had a text waiting for me that he wanted me to bring him keys to my mother's house. He said he had an appointment at pm with the contractor. I replied that we had dr. appointments today and I could not meet him. My daughter had two appointments after lunch that I told her I would take her to. I wasn't backing out on something that had been planned for weeks for his games.
I have an appointment with the contractor tomorrow so what's the big deal about one day when he has wasted 3 years in getting my mother's house repaired.
I"m just done with him. I got nasty messages one after the other. My hubby was ready to go pay him a visit. I said no, it isn't worth you getting arrested over. Let him be, his time is coming...SOON, I hope.
So all of this led to Chinese take out for dinner. We got hot and sour soup, pepper steak with green peppers and onions, fried rice and roasted pork lo mein.

@wolfgirl569 The biggest problem is that mom can't see that he is not doing as he should. She thinks he took good care of her. He did not cook..oh wait, he did fix breakfast sometimes, he didn't follow up with dr. apts., didn't get treatment for her when all this started, doesn't administer her medicine, and the list goes on. She seems to be doing a little better with dementia but it is still a long road and she probably will not get much better, if all.

@kareng My brother only visited our parents when he wanted something. He also pulled the I will fix that crap and it never got done stuff. Also many of the things he borrowed came back needing repaired. "Borrowing" oil got so bad that my dad stopped keeping extra in the garage. Started just buying as he needed it. So I have been where you are.

i'm a tad confused 's i thought'cher momma's house 'd passed 'nspection back'n june? if'n y'ave got'n 'ppointment with the contractor tomorrow, who 'twas he supposedly meetin' with? not that 't matters, yer brother's no right to've access to the house. glad ya stopped yer hubs, coz he aint worth 't.

@LindaOHio Shows what an a-hole he is. Hubby thinks the girlfriend sent all the texts. I don't care who sent them. I'm not playing any more games.

Hope you get the contactor issues worked out. Yikes. As for Chinese, it is one of my absolute favorite ethnic cuisines. I usually have it delivered, and when I do, it's almost always a $50+ order. Lots of fried rice, crab Rangoon, chicken teriyaki on a stick, pepper steak, General Tso's chicken...you name it.

Yummy, now you are making me hungry. That sounds like an awesome spread. So far the contractor issues are going well. He was glad to get rid of the bossy little witch who had gotten him fired off the job and then also the second contractor had issues with little bossy witch and then they brought him back again. He seemed to be a very nice man and listened to all my concerns, made notes of what needed checking out and on. Pleased with him so far.

Very true. This is all getting nasty. I asked my mother why my brother and his girlfriend ran off the group from the Church working on her house. This wasn't costing her anything and they were making great progress. The neighbor told me that my brother cussed out the main volunteer working and ran him off. I knew they ran them off but to cuss them out? For helping someone? My mom said she didn't know that had happened and was very upset. I believe that there is a lot my mom doesn't know about. I trust the neighbor. He is a Christian and goes to this Church and is also friends with the volunteer. He also helped do work in mom's house.
