Yam flower

What I thought was a snake curled up in the compound happened to be the yam flower that had risen from the ground. This normally never happens. New plants crop up when the time comes. So you can imagine my fear of seeing what I saw, ofcourse from a distance. It was not moving. I plucked courage and proceeded towards it before alerting others around. Preiti was not on the scene and even if she was she would have known that it was just a flower Animals are sometimes smarter.

No doubt she would have judged it by smell. That's a striking flower! Never seen anything like that before.
