I think persnickety is a fun and humorous word! However, its an adjective which describes a behavior or person which is practically the opposite.
I knew of this word but I hadn't seen it in a long time. I had forgotten its meaning. I thought "persnickety" meant snooty, picky, difficult and having an "I'm so much better than you" attitude.
Do you remember the character of Harriet Oleson on the TV show Little House on the Prairie? I thought she was persnickety.
I guess my memory of "persnickety" was partially correct. Persnickety folks are picky!
Attention to detail can be a good thing though. I suppose it depends on the situation.
What do you think of this word? Are you familiar with it? Do you know someone who you would describe this way?

Thank you for the information. I had heard about this word somewhere before. I do not know anyone who is like that now. You are right about Harriet Olsen there were times I watched the show and wanted to smack her one.
