Off To See the Wizard...Ha Ha (Part 2)

As you guys know from my previous post, I was supposed to meet with the contractor who has been working on my mother's house today. That did not happen. The contractor called me when I was less than 15 minutes away from the house and said he is sorry if there is some kind of mix up in our appointment, but he doesn't come to Baton Rouge on Wednesdays. I said well, I had to schedule today because my mother has doctor appointments Tues. and Thursday so I know I have my appointment correct in my planner. He said he was sorry and worked with me to reschedule for tomorrow. We agreed on a time and I decided to go pick my daughter up and we would get started cleaning out the POD. After driving for about ten minutes I start to wonder if my brother has conned the contractor into meeting him instead of me. I hurried along to pick up Chris and got back to mom's house. Nobody there. Whew. The neighbor came over and talked a bit. He told me that my brother showed up last night and was mad and laughed. He also told me that he said he was going to cut the lock off the POD. I had the original one cut off so we could get my mom's things out and back into her house. We have until Monday to do this. We emptied about 1/3 of the POD today just the two of us. It was tiring and I now have an aching back. But we will be back at it tomorrow morning. And hopefully, get to meet the contractor. He will need to call an electrician because there are wires crossed. I know how to flip a switch on the breaker box and when it keeps tripping there is a problem. That's the "meat" of my day.
