Vacuum Seal My Life

Did you know that the dollar tree sales those vacuum sealer bags? Not the ones for food but the ones for clothing and bedding. Well, I didn't know that until I saw them the other day. I decided to go get myself one a few days ago, and I really should have gotten more.
I only bought one because I wasn't sure what the manufacturer's idea of "large" was. Well, FYI, large fits about two thin blankets that are a bit bigger than a lap blanket. I have atleast three more blankets I want to vacuum seal and a few articles of clothing that could go into one of these as well.
I've seen shoes being vacuum sealed into these as well as belts.
I haven't used these bags in a long time, but it's long overdue.
Do you use those vacuum sealing bags, or do you own a chest that you store blankets in?

I should check those out. I have lots of bedding here that needs to be stored neatly.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I will look, also the Family Dollar here now is carrying some Dollar Tree stuff. I can check there too. One thing I was thrilled about is now they have the frozen pepper and onion strips for a buck. I use those all the time.

I've stored extra blankets on my bed for far too long. My dollar tree has them in the last aisle on the left hand side of the store, not far from the laundry hamper stuff.

@snowy22315 I like to go to trader joe's for the frozen peppers. They have the frozen peppers cut into squares instead of strips.

Yes, I have seen them there but have never bought them. I have bought their big garment backs for nice dresses or men's suits. You can't beat that for a buck. They are usually stocked right by the vacuum sealing big bags. I should pick up a couple of those too.

I haven't paid much attention to the garment bags but it's good to know that they are there. I usually beeline for one or two aisles, but the other day the aisle I needed was the same one these vacuum seal bags were on. I think they also stock medium bags but the large ones are the ones I'll be getting.

Next time I go to the DT, I am going to ask for these. I might check Family Dollar too.

I could really use those but never thought to look at the Dollar Tree. Usually they are expensive

Yes, which is why I was surprised to see them at the dollar tree. The one I got is pretty good quality. I need to go back and get more.

Wow i might have to go and some me some of these, we always need lots of blankets but it would be nice to put them all away into one area and not multiple areas because of how big they are folded uup

Before I use that but now I did not buy it anymore because I don't have any big blankets that needs to put in there.

You can store all sorts of things in them. I used to use them all the time but didn't have the need. Now I need to store lots of other things in them.

My husband uses them sometimes. When travelling I use a couple of huge zip closure bags and sit on them before sealing. It's a great way to compact stuff.

I've seen several videos from those 5 minute crafts / nifty company about packing for a trip.I just use trial size bottles and only take one extra outfit than I need. I'm going to go back and get some, trying to decide how many I'll need before I go get them.
