My Morning and Health Report - Day 22

Today is Thursday and so as not to fall asleep before going to rock painting this morning, I went directly to the ADRC after the Y.
I got a good workout at the Y - swimming for almost an hour followed by the whirlpool, then the fitness center where I worked out on the Ab Crunch, Leg Curl, and Leg Press machines. It's getting easier on the Ab Crunch machine. Yesterday, I added the 5-pound barbells to the exercise regime.
Despite eating two very good healthy meals, my numbers were low. I added a potato for supper to add to my numbers. I felt they were too low at 856 for the whole day. I had my usual breakfast - 2 eggs, potato, and 1 banana, and for lunch, I had a steak with eggplant, tomato, onion, mushroom, and tomato sauce casserole. So, not a lot to eat, but it was filling.
Here are my numbers:
Calories: 1109
Sugar: 46.51
Carbs: 130.22
Protein: 58.1
Sodium: 455
Fat: 29.5
Calories burned: 893
Total Calories: 216
Tomorrow is my weigh-in. I had someone at rock painting take my picture this morning. I'm not totally happy with it, but it's clearly the unvarnished truth. I can only hope when I step on the scale it shows what I'm hoping for.
Can someone tell me how to get the weight off the knees? All my weight seems to be coming right down onto my knees and calves. You'll see the picture tomorrow. At least the swimsuit fits.
Do you work out for health or pleasure? Or not at all?

I walk to get rid of energy, to clear my mind and to have a little me time with my thoughts.
I watch what I eat because the doctor asked me to "just try it!"
I would ask a trainer about the leg fat. I have no idea.

I don't know if a trainer is there as early as I am, but I'll find out. Right now, swimming is the best I can do.
That's good you're able to do the walking you can.

The best exercise for knees would be walking on a treadmill, or walking around the block. But, with your issue with barely any cartilage in your knees, I don't think exercising them is a good idea. I take a walk with Kobe each day, for pleasure and to keep my glucose level down. You're still watching calories very close, good job!

@just4him After your knee surgery, all of that will change:) My neighbor Melissa has been encouraged to walk, whenever she can fit it in. After the knee replacement surgery, she didn't have an ounce of pain!

No dinner? I couldn't skip a meal unless super busy. The last two days we haven't eaten lunch until 3 pm (today was 3:30) and both nights I wasn't really hungry. Last night I did eat a saucer of lo mein but tonight I didn't want anything.
I hope you have a good weigh-in and with all the exercise you have been doing, I bet you do. I've been getting my exercise this week moving furniture and things. With the heat and the sweat, I think I've dropped at least two lbs. this week.

@just4him Furniture, boxes, you name it. Lots of stuff and big variety. I'll be glad when that thing is gone and I can start harping on them cleaning off the carport. They have junk piled out there. Stuff that should have gone into the trash to begin with.

The numbers look good to me, they are totally different than my macros but for a not low carb diet I think they look good!
Not sure about getting weight off the knees....I have the same question about the stomach for myself! Hope someone can tell you though!
