First of all, thank you so much for all your prayers and concern for our daughter Tammy during her surgery.
It went well although it lasted seven hours. Hopefully the repairs will hold and the doctors can get to the reason for all the pain she's been through.
She went home today, of course still in pain, but we praise God for healing Tammy and helping her surgeon.
Now for the unbelievable part.
I'm in the same hospital, on the same foor with the same doctor. I was admitted this morning in severe pain with an intestinal blockage.
I've had this in the past and I'm hoping rest, pain meds, no food or drink, a saline IV, and the grace of God will prevent surgery.
You just never know, do you?

I appreciate your kind words. I'm much better, but our daughter is still in a lot of pain from her major surgery.

Thanks, Anna. We got home this afternoon and I'm still sore and tired, but much better. Our Tammy is still in a lot of pain from her surgery.

mercy, i hope they did get 't all figured out fer ms. tammy, hon. glad she got to go home.
saddens my heart 'bout yer condition. i've fingers 'n toes crossed that blockage moves out'n 'ts own. no ma'am, ya jest ne'er know what cards yer gonna be dealt.

Oh my, I hope you are better soon. It may have been the stress over your doctor that caused this to kick up. My friend had a stoke and I was visiting him in the hospital for the better part of Monday. I hadn't been in a hospital for probably 15 years.

Thanks, Belle. I came home, well, to our daughter's this afternoon. I'm still sore and tired, but thankfully the IVs worked to get the blockage moving without surgery or an NG tube. I had that tube down my nose and throat one time with this problem and it was more painful than surgeries I've had. My daughter will take a while to recover...her surgery was rather major. We hope to drive home tomorrow.
