Afternoon Walks

Hello mylotters! As my great move is drawing near, I’ve decided to prepare myself physically for it. I have now started doing afternoon walks as well as HIIT exercises without jumping. I used to like running. It is more optimal for weight loss but I find that walking has a therapeutic effect for the soul. The pace is slow enough to notice nature and what’s around you. It gives you time to smell flowers and say hi to butterflies.

I love going for walks as well. There is so much to see around you when you walk versus run. Plus, you can go at your own leisurely pace, and still get good health benefits.

Yeah with me I stop a lot for photos. Do you walk daily?

@moffittjc You have an active job though. I think it compensates. Although the doctor always says work and exercise is different.

@flapiz I try to when my schedule allows. Sometimes I have very long days at work, and all I want to do is go home and sleep.

Apparently it’s better than running as it does not injure the joints. Although running does provide impressive results. Do you walk often too?

@flapiz Walking does not have the same hard impact on the knees that running does. I don't go walking just to be walking but I am very active--especially this past week or so.

Thanks Eric. It’s already night time here in the Philippines but I did have a nice, refreshing, and healthy afternoon. I will aim to do 10,000 steps a day for better health results. Do you walk a lot too?
