Best Day in a Very Long Time

My day started at 2:40 this morning. I had a wonderful time in the pool and fitness center, and then followed that up with time with my youngest son. I did laundry while I was there and we watched a show on Netflix called Blown Away. This afternoon it was too hot to stick around the apartment, so went on a short shopping trip to Wal-Mart. I bought a new hat and some fake roses for the vase my daughter got me for Mother's Day with a beautiful bouquet of flowers in it. It was bare and needed more flowers. I heard from all my children. A text from my daughter as soon as I got home from the Y and my oldest as soon as I got home from my youngest. That was followed by a call from my granddaughter, and later from my oldest grandson. Tonight I finished off the day with bowling. The church organized the event a month ago. Someone brought a cake for the two birthdays. Yes, I had a piece. How could I pass it up when it was partially dedicated to me? My bowling was atrocious! However, I haven't bowled since my kids were little. The best part is the other people on my team were almost as bad as me. Lots of fun! It was made extra special when someone paid for me as a treat for this awesome day. That was my super awesome day. I didn't spend much time here as like I said, it was too hot. It has cooled off to 85 as I saw on a digital readout on my way home from bowling. And before I forget, I didn't get lost getting there. I printed out the directions and thought I made a wrong turn and stopped to ask someone where The Gutter was. He pointed to it. I wasn't lost after all. I was a stone's throw from the front door. What a great way to start a new year. Things are looking up. There's hope for me yet when I don't get lost finding a place I've never been before. Okay, that was my day. How was your Friday? Thanks for reading. I think I need to get off the computer. There's a major storm about to break and they had advisories on the radio on my way home. The wind has really picked up.
