I'm almost depressed................

Yeah, if I weren't who I am I probably would be depressed. 
Some of you might remember my disappointment with my trip to renew my drivers license, well, I went back with my birth certificate yesterday and after waiting for 4 hours in line they finally call my number. It seemed to be going well, the papers were in order, they got my thumb prints and then I was asked to read the fourth line in their vision test. The guy told me it was to test my distance vision but to me it was more like trying to read tiny print. 
well, to make a long story short, I FAILED
I need to go back to my doctor to see what she can do to help me, yeah, I'z gonna be really broke pretty soon, she charges $95 for a second exam and my glasses will cost $116 if I get a better prescription.
K, maybe I should find a different doctor, what do you think? Any suggestions?

A couple of years ago I was looking for a shot of my home when I first moved here and of course now I finally found it. I took this shot in late 1997. The trees you see in the background are of places where people have lived for years and have planted trees and water them. My home looks very different now.

Aren´t there less expensive doctors where you live? In my country you can get cheaper doctors if you cannot pay an expensive one.

@rebelann And a friend who knows Spanish? A passport is a good idea if you live in the border.

That is some flat land, no green! No trees and grass.
I hope they never ask me to do a renewal with eye test!

I think all renewals require an eye test. I know my eye will heal eventually but I'm not sure how long I can go without being allowed to drive.
Yeah, it is where I am but then I live on a foot hill of the mountain.

I am so sorry it seems like sometimes things keep on stacking up preventing us from doing something we want... i hope you are able to get a better prescription and can pass the test next time.
