have you ever regretted saying one or two or some words to someone? i mean after you said that to them, you ended up hurting their feelings. do you ever filter all your words first before you speak them out?
sometime, when it is not really important, i better leave them unsaid.
what about you? are you the type of person who is talky and tell everything in your mind to someone?

I was invited to someone's house for holidays and went because the food was good and really had nothing in common with them and I overate. I was angry at myself for overeating. So when i tried to say in a nice way that I am not coming anymore she got angry and her husband when I would see him did not talk to me. I could not continue going there and gaining weight so thank heavens they never invited me again.

Me too, somethings are better left unsaid. It's not good to speak your mind all the time like a child who doesn't know yet that somethings are better left unsaid.

I don't like to hurt people's feelings too. Many things best left unsaid.

I try not to be like that. But when sometimes people get rude and spit words which they will regret later on, I just smile and move away. It's a waste of energy to argue, really..

No I believe if you want to leave to someone then always say goodbye but you have to must say.

Unfortunately I have opened my mouth when I shouldn't have many times over the last 48 1/2 years. Thanking the Lord I am learning to control my tongue. m

Well, there was that time yesterday but I chose to be silent about it.

Usually I try to think before I speak. I don't want to blurt out something and then regret what I said.

@sophie09 I am usually a very understanding and patient person. But if someone keeps treating me with disrespect I eventually snap and say things that make me feel awful after. Even though a lot of what I explode with is all truth, it's how I say some things that I feel like I could have said much better and calmer.

I have learned a lesson for not bridling my mouth. So every time I talk I always think on what to say.

Usually I'm pretty careful what I say, but sometimes I say something the wrong way, it gets taken wrong and I feel bad.

You wouldn't believe I guess, that I'm a silent type of person because that's I want to avoid, hurting the feelings of other people. I believe that it is better to stay silent and say no words, specially if you know that your words are unpleasant.
