Slow Cooker Chicken

Decided to cook dinner in the slow cooker today. The temperatures have gotten out of the 90s F and more tolerable to be in the kitchen. Cooking chicken thighs with cream of mushroom soup, tomato soup and Lipton's onion soup mix. It is a favorite combination. And will be cooking all day. I can share photos of the meal when it is done if anyone is interested. Plans for today anyone? Dinner plans on your menu yet?

It can be so nice to have a slow cooker. I do enjoy using mine. Especially when I have to make something for dinner, but don't necessarily want to cook.

Yes I love it and use it often. And it doesn't heat up the kitchen.

I haven't tried cooking chicken with all three types of soup. I bet it is delicious. I will be eating ground chicken and cottage cheese tonight.

Two soups, and one packet of dry onion soup mix. It is delicious with beef also.

Funnily enough I used the slow cooker to cook a beef casserole for dinner on Saturday. I did not want to spend ages in the kitchen cooking. It is interesting to read you add soup to the pot. We normally start from scratch with raw ingredients and add our own spices and herbs to it. I would love to see a photo of how it looks when it is finished! Enjoy it!

I almost always add soup. I like a lot of gravy. Sometimes I will make mashed potatoes and the gravy is so good that has cooked all day. Thanks, I will post of photo when it is done. It will be at least two meals.

That sounds delicious. No, I ask when time because Tony does not want to eat most of the time so whatever he wants I make.

It is good and so easy. I usually have no appetite for whatever reason. But this chicken needed to come out of the freezer.

Sounds like an interesting combo! I might use the tomato soup myself....but not sure about the others! I had pork tenderloin myself.

Pictures for sure - but samples would be better . I do have a whole chicken in the fridge . . . maybe I'll crock pot it too (so much easier with the crock pot!).

@CarolDM But I don't have the soups like you have . . . I'll have to think of other stuff to go in it.

@much2say You could add frozen or canned veggies and chicken broth. Many possibilities with chicken.

No plans for today. I got my meal plan for next week, though: the colonoscopy specials (banana popsicles and chicken broth).

@CarolDM I bet it does smell awesome. One thing I love about cooking in the crock pot is when you get home the whole house just smells like a tasty treat. And I can't recall ever screwing anything up in the crock pot, so whatever I make in one is always very good.

I rarely use it but got tired of sandwiches. The rain has finally cooled off the 90s to 80s, so it seemed like a good day. It sure smells good, we will know soon.

That sounds really good. I made macaroni, meat sauce, and feta cheese in a casserole and baked it and I am eating a little bit all day whenever I feel hungry.

I made chicken in the crockpot tonight too. Mine had Sweet Baby Rays honey & brown sugar bbq sauce. I like your combo of cream of mushroom soup, tomato and onion soup mix. I might have to steal your recipe next time I make chicken
