During my afternoon walk today I came across this grasshopper doing an important civil service to us all, pollination. He is so cute. I’m glad I brought my macro lens along. I love grasshopers. When I was a kid I used to catch them with my curve palms. And let them go and catch them again. Do you like grasshoppers?

@flapiz Maybe for you. Not for me. I don't like bugs on me.

Same here it is really fun. Although too much running around on grass can be itchy.

Ahahah it takes practice. They usually jump in a straight line. So you create a disturbance in the grass and they will jump in from of you heading the opposite direction of your foot step.

I used to do the same thing when I was a kid. I vividly remember my brother and I chasing and catching grasshoppers in our yard. We too would let them go after we caught them.

It’s fun right and when you have been doing it for a long time you can predict where the grasshopper goes.

Yes, we eat them. They're rich in protein. I am not referring to ordinary grasshoppers but those that are edible.

Oh I haven’t heard of grasshopper as food. I do know crickets are edible. I wonder what they both taste like?

@kepweng It’s too tiny to suffice my appetite and it looks scary. But I did eat a scorpion once.

I don't know about 'like' them but I don't dislike them. I don't have a lot of feeling for insects.

There are some insects that I’m really scared of or just woild like to avoid. These are the ones I like to chase.
