A Wasted Day

Yesterday was a wasted day. I just started on the day's online agenda when my son texted that he was on the way. He and his girl took me shopping. Then he decided to get his oil changed. That took more than a couple of hours. Instead of the mechanic calling my son's mobile, he left a message at the house. We finally got going and stopped to eat. Got home just before 7 pm. Was ready for the Swag Live game but missed it. I was at the desk and heard a big boom that sounded like a gunshot. It was so close that I thought I was shot. I kept looking for blood. I hope nobody was shot. Can't stop thinking about it and missed the game Did you ever have one of those days where everything just went blah?

Your day wasn't wasted from how I see it. You spent a bit of time with your son-how nice!! We never know how long we have and spending time with loved ones is never a waste I don't believe.

Yes, you are right. I was so happy to see him but I spent hours wandering around Walmart and don't even know where he was. Then, the cashier thought I was shaky and had him paged even though I kept saying I was fine. But, I loved spending any time with him.

Yeah, that was nice. I just wish we were together longer than both of us wandering around the store in different directions.

You got to spend some time with your son. That's at least something.

@akalinus I can understand that you miss him. That is normal. But as you said, he has work and has to pay bills.

Yes, I really needed to shop and we did eat together. I miss him a lot but he has to work his own jobs because he has bills to pay.

@lovebuglena It was blah because I wandered around for hours and started wondering where I would sleep that night or if I would ever get home again.

@akalinus I wonder why you call it a wasted day.Recently on my way back home from my workplace I was planning to do something in the evening ,but a friend called me and ,believe it or not,we kept talking 2.30 hours.I could not implement my plan that evening ,but I don't think I wasted my time.At least I met a friend who lives in a remote village and rarely finds time to come here.

As far as getting my work done online, it was a wasted day. I'm glad you got to talk to your friend. I have a best friend and sometimes we spend hours on the phone. She lives in another state.

@Shivram59 We started out in the same neighborhood and met each other when our kids were small, a long time ago.

They told us two hours so we knew it would be a while. He and his girlfriend were doing their own shopping.

Some days things just keep going - maybe not wrong exactly - but certainly skewiff. I wonder what the noise was.

I wish I knew what the noise was but don't want to hear it again. The ay was waste because I did not do much on the internet.

Yes I do. Often. Even the gunshot but mostly in winter when idiots hunt by my house.

I have heard plenty of hunting gunshots and even gunshots in the city from crimes but this was different than anything else I ever heard.

Sometimes, we need to do that, if you planned to do it. I hate it when it just happens, a comedy of errors.

Yeah, I guess it happens to all of us. We start out with good intentions but something happens along the way.
