Love and Church

What is your idea of church?
The better question is- what is the Biblical idea of church?
One could debate all day long about the dos and don'ts of "doing church". There is nothing wrong with those discussions as long as we don't lose sight of God's guidelines and leading. One thing we must all agree on is that church absolutely must not be attempted without love being the main ingredient. In exercising love, we must put aside our imperfect idea of love and allow God to love through us. One need only read I Corinthians 13 to learn about loving God's way.
It is getting less common to find congregations that are ruled by the Biblical model of love. For me though, one does come to mind. As a teenager, we attended and served in a church called Parkview Baptist Church. It was there that I learned what freedom in Christ meant. It is also there that I saw what it meant for church leaders to lead with no other agenda but to share Jesus.
What are your ideas on how to exemplify God's love in church without compromising His truth?
