The Day I Fall In Love

(This is my love story that happened 50 years ago.) I remember when I first met a new transferee from a private high school. She drifted to an open study hall where we held our music class. She timely took a shelter to the hall after a couple of minutes of our class dismissal. I was the only one left there when that girl arrived. I looked at her. I was carried with her shiny black long hair. I would like to touch it. I didn't do it for we're not known each other yet. "What about asking her name?" I thought for myself. "That's a good idea." I turned my back for a moment to get rid of my nervousness. Now I sensed that I am ready, I got back to where she's standing. She's gone. I looked around for I might see her. Time was cooperating. I met her for the second time. She's standing in line with her classmates to attend their history class. I wanted to come closer to her, but my feet won't let me do it. "I have to overcome this," I said to myself. What a coincidence! I saw my female neighbor talking to her. So I approached my neighbor, while secretly glancing at her. My neighbor introduced me to her. I shook hand with her and said hi. To make the story short, we became fast friends. We saw each other when it's our vacant period. We often went to the canteen for a snack or for a chat. The more we saw each other, the more we got acquainted. The momentous moment arrived. Only two of us were sitting on the concrete bench under the Mabolo tree. We're still inside the school campus. I got the courage to tell her that we're no longer friends. She's shocked.  She asked me, "what's wrong?" I said, "Nothing for we're now lovers." "Why?" she asked again. " I looked straight into her eyes and told her, "I love you." "I love you, too," she replied. Then I held her hand firmly and proceeded to our respective classes. Now we're happily married for 47 years. image credits to the owner (ctto)
