Good Morning Coffee and Allergies

I have been up for a couple of hours now and ready to get started with my day. I've had my first cup of coffee and suffering from allergies with lots of sneezing. I am hoping this is all after effects from cleaning out the POD. I would hate to think that after all these years that I am developing an allergy to my beloved coffee. I did not fix a different brand of coffee or blend and I did not add anything new to my coffee this morning, just my regular dash of Half and Half. On the other hand, I may be getting sick. Our weather has been giving us some high temperatures along with high humidity. It is enough to drive your sinuses crazy. I guess I'll know soon which one to blame for all the sneezing. This all made me wonder if anyone here is allergic to coffee? And if you are a coffee lover like me, how did you handle this? Do you drink it anyway and suffer through the sneezing? @wolfgirl569 I need to get in that habit. I managed to drink a cup a day for several days in a row and then forgot about it. I did good today with my water. I had a big glass today and emptied it (64 oz.)

@kareng I never did like it. Used to drink cola a lot. But gave that up. I grab a big glass of water first thing in the morning.

For the love of all that is good (coffee), I hope you do not have allergies to your coffee. That would be devastating, in my book anyway. My life revolves around coffee! haha

I agree, hahaha. I didn't sneeze at all throughout the day so something is up with early morning. Oh, I know it. Sleep later, lol.

Hard to say what it is. Let us know how you're feeling later today. I've never heard of anyone being allergic to coffee.

I felt fine all day, other than wanting to smack my brother. I've never heard of a coffee allergy either, but I suppose it is possible.

I hope it's nothing more than the after-effects of cleaning out the POD. I'd probably be sneezing too.

It was either that or the weather. We had a front moving through.

I'm not allergic to coffee thank goodness. Is there any pollen around at the moment?

You sound like me. I'd miss my coffee too much to give it up. No pollen right now so a mystery.

Even if you were allergic to coffee (which I'm sure you aren't), it wouldn't make you sneeze. Sneezing is a reaction to airborn allergens like pollen or pet dander.

I think my wife and I would die if we were allergic to coffee. Like you and your hubby, we do the same thing. I get up first, make the coffee. It is/has been our morning routine for more than 28 years now

I have always been a coffee addict. I used to drink even more of it when I worked. It helped me get through the day.

Dust could make one sneezy. I think it's the dust. It's the culprit of your sneeze.

Not dust. It happens after eating and it doesn't seem to really matter what I eat. Happens at restaurants also.

We enjoy our coffee here, and I couldn't imagine being allergic to it. It would certainly change a lot of things, especially how I enjoy starting my mornings, but I would get it diagnosed and then try something else if that were the issue.

I think it may just be the weather. We had a cold front moving through late yesterday and last night so very possible that is the cause. I'm just going to play this one out for a few days and see what happens.

@kareng It could very well be just that. I find that my sinus change and give me headaches especially during the summer time.

@Juliaacv Yes, and with weather systems it seems to set them off. Didn't sneeze any more today.
