Morning Wake Up Call: Coffee -- Regular or Flavored?

Good Morning everyone. Who is having coffee with me this morning? I'm having regular coffee only because my husband makes the coffee during the weekdays when he goes to work. He does not care for flavored coffee at all. In fact, he calls it "squirrel coffee." I do love to enjoy a cup of caramel drizzle coffee or hazelnut coffee every now and then. And yes, I am adventurous to try a new flavor. You never know when one will be another favorite. There are other flavors I enjoy such as mocha, white chocolate, pecan, etc. What's your take on flavored coffee? Like it or leave it? Either way, I hope you are enjoying your Tuesday morning. For years, I drank my coffee black. Since having my gall bladder out, I need a little creamer to help dilute the acidity.

Yes, creamer will knock the acidity down a notch or two.

I start my day with regular coffee (black no milk or sugar). If I have decaf in the afternoon then I love flavored and both caramel and hazelnut are my first choices.

@Marilynda1225 Me too. When I worked in the legal division of pipeline safety and we had to sit through long and boring hearings, I told them I would not come if there was no coffee. We drank a lot of black coffee there. We got the coffee but no condiments most of the time.

I'm glad you enjoy your coffee. I'm a tea drinker, which reminds me I bought a new flavor this morning and want to try it. I think I'll get me a cup of blueberry tea.

That sounds good. I love hot tea in the winter. And also different flavors of tea, mostly fruit flavors.

@kareng I'm drinking it now and it's delicious. The other I bought this morning is Madagascar Vanilla. Both by Celestial Seasonings.

I am a 90% milk in coffee drinker and the other 10% I will use flavored coffee creamers. Mike is opposite of me.

@Dena91 I'll have to look for Folger's Cinnamon. I haven't really noticed it here in the store.

If you like the flavored coffee creamers, you should try the flavored coffee. I don't like all the artificial ingredients in the creamers.

I never take milk or sugar or anything else in my coffee. The only addition I do allow from time to time is a drop or two of whisky (and that only as a particular treat or a 'winter warmer'!)

I stopped the sugar additions when my husband was diagnosed with diabetes. There is enough of that stuff in packaged things to do more than harm. I cut all of that out as much as possible. Any sugar item is a treat now.

I've never tried flavoured coffee but it doesn't appeal to me. And we even have instant coffee!!

Sometimes you just have to go with your gut. I can't handle oatmeal. I've tried several times but just can't do the mushy stuff.

I don't care for flavored coffee. I have one cup of decaf per day, regular coffee. Hope you enjoy your day, Karen!

I don't try much. I have regular coffee with milk and a very little sugar. I don't want any other flavor to interfere with the authentic coffee flavor. I am as such not very regular with coffee.

Does your wife also like flavored coffee? The reason I ask is that my hubby doesn't and makes me make my flavored java in another coffee pot. He says he can pick up the flavor of the flavored coffee no matter how much the pot is washed and scrubbed.
