Kissing Another 5 Pounds Goodbye

I was very excited to see my weight when I got on the scale at the doctor's office this afternoon. I was surprised to see 5 more pounds gone, gone, gone. I was expecting it to be 2 to 3 pounds, but not complaining at all about losing 5 pounds. This makes my total weight loss right at 15 pounds. I would love to lose another 15 pounds. My blood pressure was on the high side today, but because of the continued weight loss, my doctor wants to see how it goes since I am dedicated to losing this weight. He is not making me come back next month but rescheduled me for four months out. I'm excited and pleased with this journey so far. I will continue to strive to eat better and stay active. We do have a monitor and we use it often since we have both had strokes. I brought mine in today to calibrate with the office machine and make sure it was working up to par. It passed. Yay.

Congratulations!! I've been on a diet of sorts since the beginning of the year, I've shed 17 pounds in that time frame. But I'd love to have a surprise like this.

@LindaOHio I do good when I get my mindset right. I think about the sugar, sodium, etc. in everything I eat and ask myself if it is worth it? NO? Leave it alone. Maybe? Take a bite. Yes? Eat it.
