She's a Tough One

My girl loves sports, especially volleyball. I have shared some of our volley ball stories in previous posts. The above picture inspires me to share again. Tori has injured her knee, several times, participating in sporting events. This game was no exception. Yet, after falling while diving for a ball, and barely able to get back up, she forces herself to continue on. She is up to serve and because her her perseverance helps her team gain 7 more points. She is still limping from this game two weeks ago and has an appointment with an orthopedic specialist soon. Yet she continues to press on with work and life. She inspires me. I want to give up sometimes, but she reminds me that I can't. My husband and I are so blessed with this awesome young lady.
The same is true in my spiritual growth. Sometimes, we don't understand what God is doing in our lives. Sometimes we get tired and want to give up, but the Bible reminds us in Galatians 6:9 that victory is just around the corner if we do not give up. "Let us not become weary in well doing, for in the proper time we will reap a harvest if we faint not."

I love volleyball. I used to play it a lot. How long has she played. What's her role in the volleyball game?

She has played for four years. They have to rotate and at some point play all positions, but she has primarily been a middle blocker and acer. This year, she was mostly setter. Her serving also earned her the nickname "Lazer" from the coaches.

That's very inspiring and does show that we should never give up no matter what.
