Good Afternoon

It's been a long day. I went to bed late last night, so got a late start to the day. By the time I had the Bible study posted, I needed to leave to get my laundry done. My son works third shift, so though it's convenient for me to do laundry on Saturday, I have a short window to do it in if I'm going to spend any time with him. He wasn't there when I arrived, but I knew where he was, at a friend's, and would be home before I left. I took the time to read out on the swing while the clothes were in the washer. When I entered his apartment to put them in the dryer, he was waiting behind the door to scare me. It worked, though I didn't let out a bloodcurdling scream, it still had my heart racing. Yesterday, I stopped at GNC to get the Vitamin D I need. However, when I got home and looked at the bottles, I got the wrong one. I stopped back there today and it wasn't opened, which was strange. I asked another shop owner in the mall about when they would open, and they said, it's pretty much when they want to. Not a good way to do business. I'll need to go back on Monday. I think that mall is dying anyway as many of the shops are empty and one of the biggest stores just went out of business. From what I'm seeing, they're trying to get business in there. Three more went in there not long ago. It will be interesting to see how long they last. Other than that, it's been a good day. How is your Saturday? Thanks for reading. Time to interact with you. Photo is the flowers outside my bedroom window.

I think all the malls are dying. There was to big ones in Colorado that went under. We sold our stuff in both them on consignment. So I was sad when they went under.

They're probably giving way to Internet shopping.

@Elizaby I won't buy shoes online. I don't mind buying clothes online and have done so. I always get my swimsuit online.

The local mall around here is dying too. They are trying to revitalize it but I don't know how successful that will be.

The only business doing any kind of business is the fast food places lining the outside of the mall. I wonder how well they are doing. It's sad when malls start failing.

I am glad that you had a good Saturday. Mine was good too. I stayed over at my sons house Saturday night to take care of the dogs. Before I went over I did some thongs around here and went and looked at a car.

@just4him The dogs are a blessing. I didn't find one that I liked or could afford so I will keep looking.

It does look like a ghost mall in there. There are only two major stores there now.

Sounds like a busy day there! That's strange they were closed today...and that they open when they want to. A lot of business seem to be closing these days!

@MommyOfEli2013 My vitamin D is from my doctor, but not prescription strength. I bought the wrong IU. I need 2000 IU and got 1000 IU.

It was strange. I really need to exchange those vitamins for the right IU dosage. It's good and now we're getting strong winds and a storm. It's getting dark out there as the trees blow in the wind.

@just4him That does seem very odd....but hope it will be open Monday for you. I am so glad I get my Vitamin D from my shakes! Hopefully it won't be too bad of a storm and everything will be alright!

Many smaller stores are closing down here because they cannot operate because of large markets.

@just4him Yes, it often happens that groceries in small shops are cheaper.

Maybe it's better to just order your supplements online so you don't have to go back and forth to the store.

My brother and I cleaned, went grocery shopping and came home where he cut my hair for me. It's really shorter than I wanted

Before I go back to check on GNC Monday i would call and make sure they are open before making that trip. Many mass are dying as several big line retailers such as Sears are going out of box line store business opting for on line or catalog sales. Here we have gone frome three indoor malls than began in the early 1970s to one (which was the first one started. One totally shut down and the other converted to an open air center going store to store like things were before the mall with the three anchors staying open while the interrior sections of the mall were tore down and new stores built. I glad cordova mall is still in operation and thriving

If they're not open, there is another I know where is. It's a little farther away, but not too far. Yes, stores are becoming extinct.

That can be exciting depending on why you went. If you were looking for a book you haven't been able to find, that can be quite exciting. Enjoy your finds.
