Mickey Mouse Shirt for my Uncle

I have talked a few times about my dear 90 y/o uncle. He has always been my favorite uncle, and the only immediate family I have left. A few cousins but there is no communication.
Sharing a photo from his 90th birthday party his nurse gave him. He loves Mickey Mouse. His nephew of sent him three shirts and he still talks about them. Funny how the little things keep you going, no matter the age.
I treasure the moments I share with him during our phone conversations. I know he will not be here forever. The time he has left, and nobody knows how long, I plan to talk as often as possible to him.
He was an architect for many years, a very intelligent man. A deacon in his church, and many other things he was involved in. Sad to see him confined to his home. But he has accepted the facts, so I will as well.
Tell those you love who you feel, make the memories while you still have the chance.
Plans for this Monday anyone? Still lots of heat in my world.

aw, how sweet 'f the nurse to throw him a party :) yup, he's a jewel fer certain. so glad y'ave had his kind soul'n yer life all these years. kinda makes ya wish ya could go'n sit with him a bit, recordin' his words. i regret no havin' done such with my papaw'n others...they'd great wisdom to share.

So glad he was happy. Yes, we should always remember to tell our loved ones that we love them and we care. I have to say it I am getting off soon me virus is killing me and I feel lousy. Hope you have a good night.
