Science Falsely So Called

I was watching a so called science documentary and it talked about something called genetic intimate attraction.
I called nonsense as soon as I heard it, but it does show how far society's degenerates will go to rationalize their immorality.
Anyone intimately attracted to a relative is warped in the head, plain and simple.

Regardless of what the attraction is, it's wrong...as you said, plain and simple.

I think I would want to know the basis of such a claim and the qualifications of the person making it.
Science is all about making observations and assessing evidence to support theories. When science finds that something distasteful meets the criteria of scientific method, that does not make it any the less scientific.
Science is not the same as morality - they work according to different criteria, sometimes producing similar conclusions, sometimes not.

@jnrdutton But is it lunacy? I agree that this phenomenon has been labelled as pseudoscience, but until proper work is done to decide the issue one way or the other, no-one can be certain.
There are certainly recorded cases of estranged relatives being attracted to each other on meeting. But is there a genetic reason for this?
I was myself adopted and have never met a blood relative, but if I did we would certainly share a great deal of common DNA. It is surely not impossible that there are genes that would inspire a mutual attraction.
Proof cannot come purely from testimony, which is why proper science is needed. Simply saying that the concept revolts you is not really good enough to dismiss it out of hand.
