Are they real?

A friend of mine saw my nails for the first time and the first thing he said was, "are they real? They aren't far?" I know acrylic nails are in a fad right now, but no, my nails are real. I did think of buying those acrylic nails that you can just glue or stick on, but I just didn't or haven't bought them yet. I asked him why he thought it was fake and the answer was, they're naturally long and they look perfect. Should I be flattered then? Well this reminded me of someone saying my foot photo was a fake coz they didn't look like my own feet at all coz it was too perfect! Has anybody told you or accused you of having fake body parts? How would it make you feel if somebody did?

This is funny, I also have real nails, real feet and real eyelashes. Those are what most women think are fake, because "they are so long". I have no fake parts on my body.

Indeed it is funny because most women these days do fake things to look beautiful. And sometimes it's hard to believe that beauty can be real these days.

@LadyDuck And I totally agree and we just have to learn to love ourselves for what has been given to us and be confident about it.

Good for you. I am not used to growing my nails. My hair when I grew it long when I was working. They find it good and nice.

No one has said anything to me. My nails have always been a bit fragile and I can grow them and polish then to look good for a short time.

I cannot stand having long nails so I never really grow them long. They're just naturally long even if I cut them which I do every single week. I think i'm lucky not to have weak nails as I hardly polish my finger nails at all. I polish them once in a blue moon and I can't really use ordinary nail polish. I have to go to a nail salon to get a gel polish.

yeah, it depends on the shape and length of the nail bed. some end near the fingertip so it only takes a short time for the nail to grow past that, while others, like me, take a few weeks, although i don't grow mine anymore. no, i haven't received such comments yet. but if there's a way to have permanently curled lashes, i'd go for it and will admit to having it done.

I don't grow my nails long coz I find it uncomfortable. And they're already long so I don't need to grow them.

pretty nail polish. My mother had bought some fake nails a few years ago. I also thought about using them, but I was afraid that they wouldn't stay on. No, I never been accused of having fake body parts. I would be proud that the real body parts can easily fool someone.

Thank you. They're nail gel polish and I had it done at my beautiful nail spa salon called Manhattan. There are a lot of fake beauty these days and it's considered a norm. So many people find it hard to believe when one is real or not sometimes.

I'm sorry if you. misunderstood. I was not offended at all. Coming from a friend it's something that should be considered a compliment. But from a stranger, I might take it as offensive.

Yes, one night, the city of davao was too busy ever since our President was here. There are a lot of Police inspection from every corner of the street and every vehicle owner should participate or else they will give sanctions. So, we obliged. The boyfriend said to the Police that we just got out from the Hospital for my Dialysis. The Police let us pass but before that, he told the boyfriend that he should go home right away coz your kid (talking about me) needs rest. The Police mistaken me for a kid. I’m still thinking if it’s a compliment.

Now that's a different accusation. Not really a fake one but you should take it as a compliment that they find you still young. My sister-in-law is only 4'11" and in the US that's considered really short. One time she went to buy a lottery ticket but they didn't want to sell to a minor. She was with her two daughters at that time and she told them that those two kids are hers and she's no longer a minor. But they didn't believe her.
