In my last Did You Know I didn't give a hit to what was to come since I really didn't know who I would talk about. So I decided to talk this time about two guys that have a tie to each other, but served at two different times. They served at different times but both would go on to host the same TV game show at different times. This show would become the longest running game show of all time. The Price is Right. Robert William Barker: Known as Bob Barker Bob is most known as the host of the Price is Right TV game show but he reported for duty in June of 1943 as a naval aviation cadet. He would end up doing all the required training but miss out on WWII, buy time he finished his training they war had ended. He once said, " I was a naval aviator, a fighter pilot. I completed all facets of my training, including my qualifying landings on a carrier. I was all ready to go, and when the enemy heard that I was headed for the Pacific, they surrendered. That was the end of World War II." Drew Allison Carey: Known as Drew Carey. Drew a stand up comic had his own sitcom called The Drew Carey Show and also the host of Who's Line is it Anyway. He would then go on to host The Price is Right when Bob Barker retired. Drew joined the Marine Corps Reserve in 1980 and served till 1986. Drew was a field radio operator for the 25th Marine Regiment in Ohio. He would leave with an honorable discharge as an E-5 (sergeant). Two more famous people that gave up years of their lives to serve their country. Did you know these two served? Well, now you know.

Good to see these posts coming back. Great trivia and they deserve to be recognized for their service.

I knew Drew Carey had served, but I didn't know that Bob Barker had served. That's pretty cool to know.

@andriaperry LOL, I remember the first time I seen him thinking, he has the Marine hair cut and glasses. But he was a bit over weight so I didn't think he was in the Marines. Then years later I heard he was and I thought well that explains the hair and glasses after all.

I didn't know that about Drew Carey..not a big surprise about Bob Barker, because most men of that time period served if they were eligible. They were eager to fight the Nazi's and the Japanese.

Yea, that was the time when people wanted to serve in anyway they could and would be crushed if they for some reason could not serve.
