1876 - Thomas Edison receives a patent for the mimeograph.
1963 - The Great Train Robbery takes place in England. A gang of 15 train robbers steal 2.6 million pounds in bank notes.
1937 - Dustin Hoffman was born. He is an American actor and director. He has received 2 Academy Awards, 6 Golden Globes, 4 BAFTAs, 3 Drama Desk Awards and 2 Emmys. He has been called one of the greatest actors of all time. Some of his famous movies include: The Graduate, Midnight Cowboy, Kramer vs. Kramer, Tootsie, Rain Man, Hook and Wag the Dog.

Smack me aside the head. I forgot about cat day. First thing this morning I pulled a "tough love" on Saia kitty. She is my first case of feline sadness. She was not socialized when she was a kit. Going to be hot again today. I grabbed Saia- she was by my car. I hung onto her as she cursed and tried to bite and scratch. We are going into the house! Yes we are. Food and water and cool air so just stop with the trying to bite my hand.

This will really make me sound old, but we used a mimeograph machine at work many years ago. In fact, a co-worker and I made copies of a recipe book that we gave out to other workers as Christmas gifts.
