How did Facebook know where I went?

Last night, I saw this timeline of my activities. I never saw it before and can't find it today. It showed every trip I took to the store, the doctors, and where I ate.
The last time my son showed up, he was in a hurry so we picked up a box of tacos from the Belle. I did not talk about it online anywhere or tell anyone. We just suddenly decided and the he map showed the detour we took to go back and get the food.
It also showed that I spent most nights at home. How does FB know my business without me posting something somewhere? I resent the invasion of my privacy.
Does FB track you or do they think I am some sort of subversive or criminal or something?

What have you been up to Jo Ann ...seriously.... that is not good at all. I bet it tracks me. I am good with it. Because I am masquerading with my friends on my computer. Nothing genuine is gonna show up. I am hardly at home. Been to aunt because of case yesterday and today...now again deferred indefinitely.

Turn off the location from your phone so it will not track your whereabouts. I hate it when they do that that's why I don't usually have it on.

all places track ya - sell yer info to folks. the best ya can do to prevent such's get a service that blocks yer ip addy. phones do the same. i saw a fella who'd purchased a brand new phone (one ya pay 's needed) 'n ne'er took 't out'ta the box, much less turned't 'n. he went 'bout his day 'n when he returned that eve, took said phone out'n hooked 't to some equipment - jest to see how bad the privacy invasion goes. guess what? this ne'er been out'ta the box phone downloaded e'ery stop he made, includin' how long he 'twas 't each stop. his 'ntire route mapped out.
i think such ought'a be illegal. folks're worried 'bout the government invadin' their privacy, but seem to give no thoughts to their 'lectronic devices. 'tis despicable.

@crazyhorseladycx Thank you. I will go there today. It looks like it is for Apple. I have an Android with Windows. I wonder if the info will work.

if it's linked to a mobile phone,it's probably using that.that's one reason i always tell people not to give facebook too much information.

@Shivram59 My son picked me up yesterday. I had a couple of places I had to go. I wish I could find this timeline for your location. I want to see if they tracked where I went.
