Another Thirty Seven Cents

If you ever get tired of me talking about money, just stop reading. I just can't help myself. It's what I like to talk about as much as some people like to quote the Bible, or talk about their diets, or about what they had for dinner. So, my apologies in advance. But today was a GOOD money day. I found an additional 37 cents between a quarter in a cart at Aldi left behind, 2 cents I found at the self car wash, and a dime I found on the ground outside of the Zephyr Express gas station where the wife and I stopped off for some lottery tickets after we finished at the car wash. Plus, we got a check in the mail from VSP. A vision insurer. Apparently when we upgraded my wife's glasses recently we paid too much and so they sent us a refund check for $44. Not that it is any surprise, but I just LOVE money. And while none of this will make me rich any time soon... It sure is nice to have money come in that you don't expect, no matter the amount.

Being even a penny richer now is better than being a penny poorer before.

I love finding money. It all goes right into the bank. Well, for the coins it's the piggy bank first...then the bank. But it all adds up.

Probably the case. Hey, if people don't want their money I will gladly take it.

I like it when I find money i n the street especially if it is a note. The most I ever found was £20 which is worth around $24. If someone drops it and they are still around I will give it back but when there is no one in sight .. well it would be silly not to keep it

That would be a great find. My wife and I did find a $20 once sitting in a Jack In The Box. We saw it lying in the end of the drive through lane and of course snatched it up.

That was a lucky day for you. Have another half cent (or is it a quarter?) from me for this comment. :-)

Hey! I got a free quarter from Aldi today too. I saved almost $30 today on non food items.

I am finding more and more carts with their quarters still in them lately. Must be a sign of this great economy that many people feel they don't need to get that quarter back.

Where do you usually put those cents? Do you have piggy banks for those?

I have a coin jar I put them in, and then take them to the bank once the jar is full and deposit them so I can transfer the money to my investment account.

Yes, it all adds up; and over a lifetime you'd have a nice bit of cash.
