Going to the doctor sucks. We all can agree ono this. It is not peaches and cream on the Dr.end Most patient do not follow the rules for instant. Do not eat before surgery.Wrong you be surprised how many do This can cause death. But they never tell us what are we doing wrong? The photo is Mike with our second cocker. Buffy who died a few years ago.We missed him

That is a great photo A lot of patients don't follow the rules. There are too many examples to mention. Sometimes patients don't fast when they have to for instance before an examination. They have to get a new appointment. Our waiting lists are long. Many other patients are waiting for the same examination, so they are wasting everyone's time.

@amadeo good morning, Fredo. I don't know that anyone would die if they ate before a surgery, but the surgeons don't need anyone crapping on the table either.

Buffy was a beautiful dog. The last 2 times that I went to the hospital for scopes and had to be put under, I made sure that I arrived a little early. In both cases the patient ahead of me defaulted on the rules and did not fast and was not able to be put under, so they moved me up. Love it when I follow the rules and it works out like that.

@amadeo I'm sorry. My husband was there with Nayla when they started her last 'meal' but then he couldn't take it and he had to leave. The poor guy had to turn around and get cleaned up and then go into work after that, what a rough day I felt so sorry for him. I couldn't have been there, just no way, I would have been a wreck.

@amadeo I have no problem going to my doctor. It is other doctors I do not like to go to. I come prepared with questions to ask my doctor if I have to do certain things and follow what I have to do. I am sorry that Buffy is gone How is Ms. Ruby doing.

Eating before surgery is extremely dangerous. Here you receive a form with the correct instructions to follow and you have to sign it declaring that you have read and understood.

I remember once I was headed in for surgery and the lady on the next gurney was too, she wore full makeup! They took it off with vaseline , man she was crying about that greasy mess on her eyes, the nurse said you should have followed the rules, no make up.
