It is easy to make the smoky salmon at home. I just use the flour, rice, tea and sugar as the smoky ingredients. It works well Do you like smoky flavor food?

@Starkinds Usually we eat salmon as sushi or we just cook it or use it as the soup. Few people will make the smoky salmon at home.

@youless Yes, because there is flour, rice and tea. I would like to smoke salmon in a smoker, but it would not be as good as the smoked salmon I can buy in the store.

I nearly always cook salmon this way in foil parcels with butter, lemon juice and dill or sometimes with a dusting of a spice mix which includes chili, garlic, cardamom and cumin with some lemon zest and olive oil.

When you say that you use " flour, rice, tea and sugar", do you mean that you put these ingredients in a smoke box with the salmon? It seems to me that they would leave an awful mess of burned and congealed sugar in your smoke box and the flavour of the salmon would be bitter! Why not just use damp fruit wood chips or oak chips?

I put these ingredients on the foil. And the foil is in the wok. It works well. It won't bitter since the rice obsorbs the bitter flavor.
