Or, if you already have it, go grab them and hug them or make them sit on your stomach. I was feeling down yesterday, due to weather, due to family issues and, another thing is, when I'm on my garden swing, I can't stop Shiv (my cat) from jumping on my lap. And, when he landed and purred, I really felt good. Though this 4-motnh old male cat could be less restless and find a position in the first try and not in the fourth one, I'm still thankful for making me feel relaxed. Like, he took away my burden and sorrow. Go, pets! What are your experiences or informations about "healing" powers of (your)pets?

I read that pets help when you're sick. I've had my dog lay by me and in no time I was feeling better. I wish I could have a dog here. I'm glad your cat helps you feel good.

Yes, they transfer some kind of energies. I just hope we don't do them a harm by exposing them to this but, I don't think so. Thank you and I'm glad your dog helped you though, wasn't he heavy for you? Cats are lighter.

My pet would protest if man handled..on the rare ocassions he sits with me it has to be his idea. At least he does usually sleep on the bed..but usually on the end. He may get a bit more cuddly when it colder out.

Same here. He felt like cuddling and I felt to be comforted a bit. WIn-win situation though, I must say, yesterday, I out a hand of restriction, so he couldn't jump on me and, he didn't. Was I too clear or he got me, who knows?

MY only concern is how to potty train them. The sight and smell of poop will ruin my day for sure.

I have a feeling if they are inside pets then, it's easier. If they are not, like mine, they can do it everywhere, in grass, eath and the last place would be a sand that I prepared for him but, you feel good around pets, don't you?

I'm starting trusting that as well though, I should stop comparing my old cat with Shiv but, I can't help it. I had her for almost. 6 years.

@moonandstars I compare our dog Molly to our former dog Bo. Bo was such a big, sweet laid back pup and Molly is more of a high maintenance pup because she likes everything done a certain way and does not like change at all.

Animals have always been very close to me and present in my life. They know when something is going on with you.

They really do. Shiv is naughty so many times, I'm not sure but my old cat read me like a book. SHe even had one time an expression when I was in distress, like "is everything okay". Very good companions, right?

We have a dog, two rabbits and a guinea pig. We used to have to a cat as well. I am very happy to live in a home with pets. They cheer me up when I am in a bad mood.

O, I remember you said you have rabbits and dog but, I forgot about pig. That's a whole team and, I really wish to hold a rabbit, at least once

@moonandstars Tonight I saw 3 rabbits that I wanted to buy, but our pet family is already large enough. We left without buying them, but I was very tempted If you ever hold a rabbit, be careful with your clothes. Some of them like to bite holes in clothes.

Pets are good. They are stress relievers. But pets become pest sometime when they get old.

Yes, pets also get old and we can adopt them in that age as well though, it's always nice to see their growth, like a little child, from the beginning

What is the best pet that can help heal sickness?

I'm maybe be biased but, I think cat or maybe some smaller dog cause, you want to feel it but not to be pressed for too much. I'm not sure do they cure you in whole but, you do feel good especially, when you have a connection to that animal. I man, I wouldn't like a small alligator on me or maybe I would

Pets are the best! My dog sensed when I was ill and slept pressed into me. Cats just purr and snuggle.

Dogs do that as well? cool. That was before or recently; you're good now? I must agree that dogs don't bark for nothing. I even felt that my neighbour's dog knew 5 hours before I got sick, that I'm going to get sick; he jumped on me, I remember. Cats do purr and snuggle these days especially cause, evenings and mornings are colder. That little attitude queens

Oh so true. I think pets help heal. When my mom was on chemo her hair got thin. The cat insisted to sleep with the cat's belly on my mom's head - she hadn't done it before. When mom's hair came back, the cat stopped sleeping there. It's like she knew

That's not fair. I'm sure a cat wouldn't cause any noise, ah. Yes, they can. I like some dogs but, I don't like their jumping and barking. As for cats, I'm having them all of my life.

I agree with every single word. I have lots of things at hand and so no where I feel that I could justice to a pet. I grew up with pets around and even after my marriage had a dog for so many years. Now I have pets at my mom's and mom in law's place and we are into distant relationshipI video chat with them regularly.
