Got Good News

Yesterday evening I got some good news from my daughter. I didn't mention this before cause I am just not like that but since it was good news I had to share it.
I'll first admit I don't have all the information and well as a male I'm not sure I want all the information but this is what my daughter has told me. My grand daughter (9 years old) had some bleeding, they took her to the doctor and found that she had a cyst on her ovary. She went in for surgery yesterday and they were of course going to check to see if it was cancerous and remove it.
They found that it was benign and she is of course going to need some time to recover but that all is well. I didn't get a whole lot more information since the phone call was so short but the important words I took from it was benign, and all is well. I will give her a day or two and follow up with her.
I know all kinds of friends and family will be calling and checking up on her so I let her know that if she needs anything just call or I will call her in a day or two.
Hoping all stays well with her and there is no future issues from this. Like I say I don't know a lot about it but I was so happy to hear that she is alright.

This is the kind of report, that every parent and grandparent loves to hear! Cancer is so frightening, even for our young people today:( She will soon be all healed up and back enjoying life again

@kobesbuddy It is filled with scary moments that we work through. I'm not a believer but those that do believe if that helps them get through their tough times who am I to say different.

gosh, she was so young! i'm glad it was detected, removed and benign. is she home now? i hope you get to talk to her, too, when you call her mom again.

Glad they caught it and it was benign.

Wonderful news. Those cyst are more common than most people know and usually are not found till many years later, I am glad they found it, now maybe she won`t suffer later in life, with female problems.
