As the two or three of you that regularly read my discussions, I write about pioneering goth band Bauhaus a lot. I write about their offshoot band, Love and Rockets, often, and I work lead vocalist Peter Murphy's solo career into my music countdowns whenever I have the chance. Bauhaus is, simply put, one of my all-time favorite bands.
Peter Murphy, it was announced earlier today, was hospitalized after suffering a heart attack last night. Murphy was in the midst of a solo residency in New York City, during which he performed specific solo albums in their entirety on a nightly basis.
The vocalist, affectionately called "The Godfather of Goth," was rushed to a New York hospital and is being monitored. His final four residency dates, including both a Bauhaus tribute and a David Bowie tribute, have been postponed.
Get well soon, Peter. We love you!

Yeah, and so far, no further updates, which I guess could be a good thing. Hopefully.

Still haven't seen any updates. Hopefully no news is good news.

Yeah, definitely not as humorous as when he got kicked out of his own concert during this last tour!

I hope so. Understandably, they weren't able to give out too much information.
