Maybe you do not know that for IMEI that is not registered in your country will be blacklisted and the warranty does not apply to the product. Be careful when buying phone products, if your IMEI is blocked then no SIM Card can be detected.
Did your country implement this system?

I did not know that. I haven't tried to fix a phone under warranty before though.

I don't know... Actually, my first time to hear about this... Maybe I needed some research if my country implements this kind of stuff...

Yes, of course. Without IMEI, a phone doesn't work as expected.

Oh, sure. Every Smart Phone that enters our country is checked first by its IMEI and import-export costs.
