Renewing driver's license?

My birthday is at the end of October. I have received in the mail renewal notices for my driver's license and my health card. Oddly it says I can renew online. How does one renew online for a card that requires picture I.D.? I haven't changed at all over the last five years so they can use the same picture but not everyone can do that. But then again, my passport is a 10-year passport so that picture will be used for ten years.
I guess I will renew online and see what happens. They are fussy about how your picture looks (no glasses, no smile, no teeth showing) so I can't imagine they would want to take a picture through the computer.
Well... it beats standing in line at the office.

@patgalca And I'm sure health cards don't cost money... unless Ferd changed things.

I hate that "no glasses, no smiling" rule. Doesn't look like me at all. I'm sure a lot of people recognize others by their glasses (I know I do).

Hopefully, you can get it done easily online, While you have the time you can check out all the information so that you are prepared when it needs to be done,

It's funny because if you do it in person you have to have all these proofs of I.D., unless they're asking for downloads of photos of that (which is risky) the only proof you are really giving them is the fact that you already had those I.D.'s and on record for years, decades.

Passports are expensive. We originally got a 5 year passport which we only used once, but now that we are travelling more because my daughter works for the airlines, we got a 10-year because we knew we would use it more.
My daughter is taking me and her sister to Vegas to see Donny and Marie at the first of October.
