He is best known for prosecuting Charles Manson and the other defendants of the Tate-La Bianca murders. He was highly successful in his prosecuting career. He wrote the book Helter Skelter which recapped the Tate-La Bianca murders. It is the best-selling crime book in U. S. history. He died in 2015 1936 - Robert Redford was born. He is an American actor, director and producer. He is the founder of the Sundance Film Festival. Some of his famous movies: Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, Jeremiah Johnson, The Sting, All the President's Men, Brubaker, Out of Africa, The Old Man and the Gun, Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Avengers: Endgame. 1952 - Patrick Swayze was born. He was an American actor, dancer, singer and songwriter. His movies: Dirty Dancing, Ghost, Red Dawn, Road House, Point Break. He wrote and sang "She's Like the Wind" (see below) for Dirty Dancing.
