What did you have for breakfast today?

Trader Joe's was OUT of my favorite lox the other day, so I had to improvise. My default breakfast is sourdough toast with butter, cream cheese and lox on it. Delicious, especially with coffee, and it keeps me going until lunch.
I had to do some quick thinking at Trader Joe's that day. What I decided on was some ham. Not very kosher, but it was something that would work with sourdough toast and cream cheese.
It was actually quite good and became my staple for a few days. What did you have for breakfast today?

@TheHorse Angus Roast Beef from Sprouts! I normally go to Trader Joes but since we've moved its not conveniently located. It is about a 15 minute drive versus a 5 minute drive. I just go to Sprouts or Vons or Costco now. Sometimes Trader Joes.

@TheHorse You ask for the roast beef to be cut at the deli counter. :) haha

We had gluten free waffles, bacon, and coffee. I would enjoy the breakfast you had, especially without the lox.

@TheHorse Okay, but I'm still glad God didn't choose it as one of my gifts.

I no longer eat pork so no ham for me. I actually had a sunny egg with some fried young canned peas and onions and a tomato/radish with sour cream salad. And then I had coffee with steam milk along with a blueberry waffle topped with with farmer cheese, cinnamon, and beach plum preserves.

@lovebuglena Ah, that's cool. Do you try and limit your activities on Shabbat as well? I admit that I do not.

@TheHorse Because hubby keeps kosher. Well sort of. No pork or shellfish. So out of respect to him I gave all that up.

@CookieMonster46 How are they going to get the stone out? I've never had one of those, even though I drink too much coffee. Does the ice cream, toast, and soup (what kind?) taste OK? Andersen's Pea Soup is one of my comfort/tummy ache foods.

@andriaperry Ah, maybe I'll have to try it. Will I still get satisfying gas later? Farting (along with vacuuming) is one of my remaining pleasures.

@snowy22315 Sounds...basic...but it IS protein-rich. I always keep some cheese around here.

Well, I found another breakfast post by you. I had a late breakfast of Bread with salad and Mayonnaise, and Tapioca(Sabudana) with Sauce. A bit unusual, and I hope to have some tea after rest, to help me get better from my bout of cold and flu.

Tea with milk and sugar.
'Cause I wanted to be early in school since it was the first day with regular teaching, and making something I want to eat in the morning takes too much time. Didn't manage to get there early 'cause I spent 15 minutes searching for the keys to my car ...

@TheHorse In school they're 15 to 19 and in the university 19 to around 30.
The students I met today were quite awake and aware of their surroundings! Which is good, they're training to be teachers for 1. to 7. grade. Pupils yesterday also not too bad, once their smartphones were stuffed away

@Tampa_girl7 Are you suggesting that I'm not capable of getting up early and having the "boys" fuel up my Lear Jet? I used to get up at 5:30 AM to stack hay before the day got too hot.

@TheHorse they are hard boiled eggs (but still have runny yolk...so soft boiled I guess?) wrapped in breakfast sausage and bread crumbs and cooked in oil. probably not healthy at all but they were very tasty to try

@florelway It sounds really good. Did you cook it up? Or buy it precooked?
