Day 16
Promise 18
Genesis 18:9 And they said unto him, “Where is Sarah thy wife?” And he said, “Behold, in the tent.”
10 And he said, “I will certainly return unto thee according to the time of life; and, lo, Sarah thy wife shall have a son.” And Sarah heard it in the tent door, which was behind him.
11 Now Abraham and Sarah were old and well stricken in age; and it ceased to be with Sarah after the manner of women.
12 Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, ‘After I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?’
13 And the LORD said unto Abraham, “Wherefore did Sarah laugh, saying, Shall I of a surety bear a child, which am old?
14 Is anything too hard for the LORD? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.”
15 Then Sarah denied, saying, “I laughed not;” for she was afraid. And he said, “Nay; but thou didst laugh.”
We have a hard time believing something can happen when the time has passed for the feasibility of what we desire. There is nothing we can do to bring about our greatest desire.
Yet, in our inability, God makes the impossible possible. Sarah was past the age of childbearing. Yet, God promised she would have a son. For Sarah it was impossible. For God, nothing is impossible.
What is your greatest desire? Is it impossible for you to make it happen? With God all things are possible.
Jesus told His disciples all things were possible with God when speaking about salvation.
Matthew 19:26 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, “With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.”
God doesn’t have any restrictions as man does, therefore, our impossibility becomes God’s possibility.
The only way to increase your faith is to believe the possibility of God. When your loved one is at death’s door and the doctors don’t know what more they can do, trust your inability to God’s ability. When your finances look their worst and you have done all you can and the doors remain shut in your face, trust God’s possibility. When things look impossible, no matter what they are, it isn’t time to throw in the towel, it’s time to trust God’s ability to make all things possible.
For Sarah, it was impossible for her to have a child. However, nothing was impossible for God.
Let’s pray: Father, take my impossibility and turn it into Your possibility. Increase my faith and help me trust You when life is against me. Let me know You make all things possible. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Thank you for sharing this! Perfect timing, and a great reminder that I needed today. =) Nothing is impossible for God--no matter how bad it looks.
