Visit from Two Doves

Two grey doves came to visit my deck this morning. They are beautiful. I love watching them all over the yard. These are Eurasian collared doves. They are almost white.
They visit the bird bath, together, like a couple. Doves mate for life. Amazing to watch them and think about hem as a married couple.
Photo is mine. Taken from my window, watching the doves on the deck at the feeder enjoying the sunflower seeds.

I don't see many of those around here. We mostly have predatory birds, water birds or pheasants, turkeys and the like.

i'm behind, too :) dunno if'n i'm gonna get caught'p 't this late hour. perhaps durin' daylight hours? i love watchin' the doves, too. seems these eurasians ran off the native doves. which's a tad odd, coz my sweet momma's the natives there'n town. they nest 'n her hangin' baskets, lol.

Sometimes I wonder if I will get caught up. These doves really made my day. So peaceful. I feel like it might be some kind of sign. Still waiting to figure that one out. I think mine ran off the other doves as well now that you say that. I would love to see these nest anywhere. They are so big, hard to imagine them in a basket.

@CarolDM our native doves 're smaller 'n much to my momma's frustration fit jest fine, lol. she's grown to love watchin' those chicks though'n now keeps baskets hangin' jest fer 'em. no plants, jest filled with fresh moss e'ery year. they're quite spoiled!
this year, she figured with the prolonged winds, 'twas unkind fer the wee'uns to be thrown 'bout. she sacrificed this basket 'nstead, lol.
