Innocuous Posts Seem To Make The Most Money Here.

I started my MYLOT.COM experience early this year, burnt out on it for awhile, and recently got more interested. I've noticed that it's become more conservative, perhaps the closing of white supremacist web sites is pushing the conservative writers here, I really don't know. I have found that by looking through the hot discussion lists, and my own limited posting history that simple innocuous posts about breakfast, what's on TV, and health problems seem to generate the most responses. This observation shows something about the people who come here as being polite, and caring. They seem to be looking for a non-controversial community in which to find comfort, and avoid the chaos of the outside world. Am I correct, any thoughts? Controversy is welcome in threads I create.

I have noticed that there is a lot of comment when food is being talked about.

Food is a winner. The vast majority of the population are foodies who enjoy reading and discussing the subject.

That about sums it up. People want it breezy and relaxing which is understandable. There are other more detailed forums for current events, politics, reviews, things of a lengthy word count. You want intense conversation, this is the wrong place. Take it for what it is. A huge percentage are just here to earn anyway.

@jprtist I am sure you can search them out but I doubt they will pay just as IMDb doesn't pay for reviews. Earning writing sites are on their last legs.

Where are these detailed current events forums, and do any of them offer $ incentives?
