I am getting up before five in the morning. We need to get out the door immediately so Bob can make it to surgery at 7. My dad had parts of two toes amputated at 4:30 today. Seems to be doing okay. He has poor vascular flow to his legs and feet, but the vascular surgeon said putting in stents would be more trouble for him. So they did the surgery and will do their best to help him heal. My van that died yesterday has been resurrected. It turns out we have a broken fuel gauge and I ran out of gas. I am so glad we have towing insurance. We brought the car home and Bob did the trouble shooting. It was not the fuel pump, it was not the distributor coil, it was not the alternator. Just out of gas.. So I know I will not be here until late afternoon tomorrow. I hope to hang around at the hospital late enough for Bob to come out of surgery and come around. They could only get me a substitute for half a day.
