Weird Word Wednesday: Garniture

Garniture is a new word to me. It seems that someone decided to combine the words "garnish" and "furniture". One of the definitions I read is not too far off from that. It used the example of a set of vases on a mantle.
It can also refer to battle armor, among other things.
Its origin is French. Oui, oui!

Thank you @JudyEv. My knowledge of garnish was as a decorative food to make the prepared recipe look fancy.
