We Edited the Document 5 Times

A notarized document is necessary in one of our transactions to a government agency so I sought the services of a notary public. I handed him the draft but he recommended for a revision so I asked him to do the whole document according to his tenure. When I pick-up the document this morning, there were names that no longer necessary in the paper so I asked him to edit it but after that revision, another error has been found. It took five revisions for him to finally come up the documents error free. Whoa! I think it’s time to eat this Ube bread roll from Gardenia.

It's very important to review the document for notarization but it becomes legal it's already notarized.

@ZedSmart That doesn't matter. The important thing is nothing has been overlooked especially the names of those persons involved in the business transaction as stipulated in the document.

Five drafts before a final document seem a bit too much. Do you trust that lawyer?

From what I know, he is OK but I think that he just had forgotten to save some changes on his file.

Shouldn't a lawyer be drafting it?

Those are important documents, we need to make sure that everything is already fix because one mistake can ruin everything, but since you've done a lot of things I'm sure you're going to have a good meal! Enjoy eating!

You are right that's why I did not hesitate on telling him that it's not correct.

Better to prepare the documents if you can, and just have it notarized, you just pay for the notarial fee.

I have my draft but it seems that it's not the proper way of writing so I told him to input the information from my draft to his ready made file that is very much legal in terms and language.

@ZedSmart, as clients we write what it is that we want to put in a legal document citing all the inputs and all the circumstances, the lawyers will put them in place in their so called legal parlance or legal manner and typing the same as such, Sometimes what we want to express do not come out how we want it as some lawyers have another way of comprehension.
