Update on my dad....

Hey everyone. I have been meaning to do this post for a little while now but haven't been in a MyLotting mood lately. Though I did tackle a lot today which is awesome.
Anyway the update on my dad is that he is booked in to have more surgery on Friday, 30th of August. Turns out he will be having a bit more surgery than we thought. And I believe will be in hospital for about 3 days.
If you weren't already aware, basically the tip of one of my dad's toes has started to go black. So that part will be taken off. But now another toe has to have surgery as well.
In the photo I have attached, is my dad's foot x-ray. You can see the big toe is not there, but the one next to it, the bone is going in the wrong direction. At first we thought it was due to the toe compensating for the big toe but turns out a joint in that toe is actually infected. So either part of a bone will come out or the whole toe will be amputated. 
My dad is doing fine and has accepted this which is good but I really hope this will be the last surgery he has. His first wound is healing up very good ( from what I'm hearing. I don't want to look at it. ) But we are worried if that wound will take a few steps back if the surgeon has to cut into that part. I don't know.

The bone is so out of place. Hopefully it would be the last one. He needs to be hyper aware from now on of even the slightest scratch.

@VivaLaDani13 I can understand. I cried when my brother lost fingertips in an accident. And it is definitely very painful. That makes it even worse.

@JohnRoberts Yeah he seems very accepting as he nearly lost his whole foot. So anything small being taken away is better news for him.

I am so glad he got a date for the surgery. I am so so sorry that another toe has to go. Dani, thank you for updating us on his toe and now toes and surgery. It must be very hard for him and hard for you too.

It's good that he has taken it in a positive way. The will and spirit of patient works a lot in treatment and healing. Prayers for your dad and your family. This too shall pass.
